River Mouth Stations

Monitoring was carried out on estuaries, creeks, and diverse water bodies that feed into Manila Bay. The aim was to assess the pollution discharged by these outfalls into the bay.

Bathing Beaches Stations

To assess the contamination of pathogens at bathing beaches within the Manila Bay Region, 19 stations were monitored for total and fecal coliform counts.

Inland Stations

River systems in the Manila Bay Region (4a, 3, NCR) that discharge into Manila Bay were carefully monitored to assess their compliance with water quality criteria.

Offshore Stations

Throughout Manila Bay, nine stations were monitored to measure dissolved oxygen (DO), pH levels, salinity, temperature, conductivity, and total suspended solids.

Water Quality Monitoring

Water Quality Monitoring endeavors to enhance and maintain public awareness
regarding water quality management issues, ultimately striving to garner
multi-sectoral support for enhancing the quality of water bodies.
